We went to the park today since it was such a pretty day. Lily ran all over creation, and climbed on the playground equipment for about 3 hours. She climbed right up and slid down the slide before I could even get there...where did she learn that! She knew exactly how to sit down and scoot over the edge. Hindsight, I think they have a tiny slide in her MDO class, so I guess that is where she learned it. It was very cute to watch! She did a good job of keeping her little hat on too. She was all greased up with sunblock, but I fear she has my tendency to sunburn her little head - my part on my scalp was pink today, so hopefully I spared her with the hat.
There was another little girl there, 16 months old, it was crazy to see what a huge difference the 7 months makes. She really is a toddler, so independent and determined in what she wants to do. I can't believe we are closing in on 2 years!!
Did I mention how much she ran. You know I am not fast. I ran a 13 minute mile in 6th grade and vowed never to run that far again. I guess I am paying for that now.....
