If the shoe fits...

So this weekend, Lily decided to try on Mommy's shoes. It was really quite funny - she started with one pair and was quite happy to pose in them. She even let me run and get the camera, which has been a rarity lately. I have had to try and take pictures much like I imagine the photographers for National Geographic must have to do. Don't look directly at the subject, move slowly and quietly, and try to blend in. Come to think of it, perhaps I should start covering myself in stuffed animals....

Back to my point. I tend to go off on tangents...Later, she tried on another pair of flip flops I had been wearing. She had been intrigued when I walked around the house earlier, listening to the noise the shoes made. I started to say "flip-flop" when I walked, much to her delight. She had to try these on, clearly these were better because they had a "song" to go with them. She even tried to put the strap between her toes like I had done.
She then proceeded to walk around in them, and did pretty well! She said "flip-flop! flip-flop!" with each step, and slowly walked about 20 feet in them to my surprise. I was laughing pretty hard at her....I couldn't believe how good a job she was doing. I knew she would eventually want to borrow clothes and shoes, I just didn't realize how soon it would happen!
